Georgetown College baseball finished off day one with a 6-5 win over No. 15 Lindsey Wilson College in Barbourville, Ky. The No. 23 Tigers (11-3, 4-2) used an early offensive explosion and hung on as the Blue Raiders (11-12, 2-3) rallied in the seven-inning game.

GC had four runs in the third and added two more in the fourth. LWC got on the board with a run in the fourth, two in the fifth and then a run in the sixth and seventh.

After an Alex Bautista double trimmed the deficit to one, Craig Ramsey finished the game off by striking out Jordan Berry. It was Ramsey's second save of the day. Georgetown's Brian Barry started and went five innings for the win. Leonard DeLaRosa pitched the sixth and Ramsey the seventh.

Martin Lemus' RBI double to right highlighted the three-hit, four-run third. Armando Lomeli started each of the offensive innings with singles and pinch runner Justin Moore scored both times. Georgetown nearly batted around in the two middle innings, having four hits and two runs in the fourth.

The Tigers return to the field Sunday in the finale of the three-game series. First pitch is set for 1 pm.
