Georgetown College baseball used a two-run fourth to break open the game against Lourdes University. The No. 23 Tigers (12-3) had some timely hitting and won 6-2 in a twin bill Monday.

The home team scored in the bottom of the first, but the Gray Wolves rallied in the top of the third for a one-all game.

Armando Lomeli broke the tie with a single to score Michael Encinas. Trey Gross scored several pitches later on a pass ball for the necessary insurance run.

Georgetown scored again in the fifth and two more in the sixth. Lourdes, down to its final three outs, got some momentum going with a lead-off single. Lee Lovejoy, pinch running, advanced on a sacrifice bunt to third and scored on a pass ball.

Javier Saenz went six innings, scattering seven hits and one unearned run for the win. Sam Burton finished the game; he allowed one hit and one unearned run.

Duran Elmore, Justin Moore, Encinas and Trey Gross all had two hits. Tyler Coker, Martin Lemus and Lomeli all had one. Coker, Lemus, Encinas, Gross and Lomeli all had one RBI.
