Georgetown College men's basketball team already knew it was going to make a record 19th straight Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship Appearance.

What the Tigers (26-6) didn't know was when they would play and who they would face. The mystery was cleared up Wednesday afternoon as GC was paired against Park University (22-9). As the 11th seed in the tournament, the Tigers will tip off 7:15 p.m. (EST) Wednesday night.

It is not only a record 19th straight appearance, but 29th overall. Georgetown is 49-27 in the tournament, tying Oklahoma Baptist for the most wins. Oddly enough those two teams are in the same eight-team bracket and could face each other in the quarterfinals.

Park is led by Herschel Rodgers, 15 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game, while Terrell Dyer also adds 10.9 ppg. The Pirates have one like opponent with GC. They beat Evangel University, 75-73, in overtime on Nov. 14. Six days later the Crusaders came to Georgetown and left with an 81-67 defeat.

GC is led by senior Hollis Giles and sophomore Vic Moses, both average 17.4 ppg.
