FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Georgetown College finished the 2008-09 campaign with a 63-44 loss to Campbellsville in the Mid-South Conference semi-finals on Saturday.

Both teams started sluggish, with Georgetown shooting just 26.1 percent in the first half compared to Campbellsville's 34.3. But Campbellsville turned it on at the end of the period and outscored the Tigers 12 to 5 to take a 30-15 lead at halftime.

Campbellsville's Whitney Ballinger's double-double of 15 points and ten rebounds moved her team into Sunday's finals against co-regular season champs Cumberlands.

For Georgetown, last year's conference tournament winner, it was a frustrating end of the collegiate careers of four seniors, Ashley Bell, Katie Filiatreau, Makaine Huffer and Maddy Lewis, who together combined for an overall record of 83-46 in four years together.

Down 30 with 11 minutes left, the Tigers gave a comeback effort to cut it to 15 led by Bell, who scored all 11 of her points in the last nine minutes of the game.

Campbellsville improved to 26-5 on the year, while Georgetown ends the season 17-15.
