Georgetown, Ky. - Giving back to the local community was the theme on Tuesday, October 14, when the Georgetown College Women's Basketball team divided into two groups to volunteer at both the Habitat for Humanty ReStore and the A.M.E.N House, two worthy Scott County organizations.

Volunteer hours were logged by stocking clothing and pantry items at the A.M.E.N. House, while team members unloaded donations and sorted items for the local Habitat for Humanity chapter.

This is just one way the team supports Habitat for Humanity, as each year they host a Habitat for Humanity Basketball Classic with all of the proceeds going to the worthy cause.  This year's classic will be held November 14-15 and will make the 15th time to hold the classic at Georgetown College's Alumni Gymnasium.  For more information, contact Head Coach Susan Johnson at 502-863-8060.
