Georgetown College men's and women's tennis wrapped up the season this past week in Bowling Green in the Mid-South Conference tournament. Part of the week was the awards banquet during with several Tigers were honored.

A pair of freshmen led the women's team in postseason accolades by earning second-team all-conference. These teams have 10 members each and are voted on by all the coaches in the league with coaches unable to vote for their own players.

Natalie Fiepke and Shae Henry were the two Tigers on the 10-athlete second team. Fiepke finished 10-2 in singles and 9-4 in doubles this spring. She helped her team with big wins in both categories in an upset win to start the MSC tournament.

Henry went 7-4 in doubles and 5-6 in singles, while battling some of the nationally ranked opponents at the top spots this season.

Senior Jacqueline Otis was the lone Tiger on the all-academic honors. She maintained a 3.25 or higher grade point average.

Tristan Nosek was the lone male Tiger to earn MSC Second-Team honors. He had a big win this season over NCAA Division II Cedarville that helped to secure the men's team win over the Yellowjackets. This helped to finish the season on a high note for the extremely youthful group – five freshmen or sophomores on the eight-man roster.

Senior Chris Bartlett was the lone GC representative on the all-academic list by maintaining a GPA higher than 3.25. Community Trust Bank is the proud sponsor of the MSC Academic Honor Program.
