Georgetown College Head Coach Susan Johnson was honored on January 27th for earning her 500th career win this season. The win came on November 17th with a 90-71 win over Lambuth University in the 13th Annual Jackson Rotary Classic in Jackson, TN. All of her wins have been as head coach at Georgetown College and she is currently in her 28th season with the Lady Tigers.

She has a long list of accomplishments including ten NAIA National Tournament appearances and three Elite Eight finishes. Her teams have won five Mid-South Conference Championships, three KIAC Championships and three NAIA District/Regional Championships. She has been named the Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year four times, the KIAC Coach of the Year three times and was given the 1994 NAIA Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year Award.

Just as importantly, she has been a devoted volunteer for Habitat for Humanity since 1990 and established the Habitat Classic Tournament with Transylvania University in 1994. The Classic has now raised a total of over $40,000, enough to build a home for a worthy Scott County family. This summer she traveled to Auckland, New Zealand as part of a global village build for the organization.

For this great milestone in her career, we congratulate Coach Johnson and all of her Lady Tiger teams and look forward to watching her wins rise throughout this and future seasons.
