Georgetown College handed Cumberland University its first loss of the season with a 66-59 win on Tuesday. The Lady Tigers were led by Megan Gray who scored 26 points and was 11 of 15 from the field as Georgetown moved to 7-2 on the season. The junior, this week's Hockensmith Student-Athlete of the Week, added six rebounds and six blocks on the night.

Cumberland closed the lead to one at 45-44 after a three pointer by Isabelli Cunico with 7:24 to go in the game, but it was as close as the Bulldogs could get it as Georgetown stretched the lead back out with two layups by Gray. C'Kala Humes was Cumberland's leading scorer with 21 points and 11 rebounds as the visitors fell to 5-1 on the year.

Next up for the Lady Tigers is the Jim Reid Classic at home on Friday and Saturday. They will face Cedarville University on Friday at 6:00 p.m. before hosting Olivet Nazarene University on Saturday.
