Georgetown College baseball went 4-1 this past week, outscoring opponents 35-8. Senior Chaz Meadows helped with a lot of that, driving in eight runs and scoring six himself, accounting for 14 runs total.

For his efforts, Meadows earned his first Mid-South Conference Player of the Week honor announced by the league on Monday.

His seven RBIs in one game helped Georgetown to a 12-0 series-opening victory over MSC foe Cumberland University. Meadows went 3-for-4 that game with a double and a home run – his first of the season.

He finished the week hitting .471, 8-of-17, getting a hit in four of the five games with three multi-hit games.

The Tigers took two of the three games this past weekend, helping them move from sixth to fourth with one weekend left to play.
