Men's Soccer - Mon, Oct. 31, 2016

Georgetown College men's soccer celebrated Senior Day against a tough Mid-South Conference foe. Cumberland University is receiving votes in the recent coaches' poll and were coming off three straight matches against ranked opponents. Limited to just two goals in that stretch, the Phoenix (9-6-1, 5-2) came out ready to score. They netted two in the first 20 minutes and did not look back in a 4-0 win at Toyota Stadium.

With regular season done the postseason picture comes into view. The Tigers (4-9-4, 1-4-2) finish sixth in league standings. CU finishes third, meaning a rematch of this match is set for Saturday in Bowling Green, Ky. as one of the four quarterfinal matches.

Before the match the Tigers (4-9-4, 1-4-2) honored seniors Blaine Alexander, Isaac Meisner, Ben Hoertz, Drew Fortune, Lucas Wiman and Matthew Oster.
