In a sport of small steps mattering, Georgetown College acrobatics and tumbling took a huge step forward. Friday in the Tigers inaugural opening home meet, GC elevated the team score more than 30 points and closed the gap in competition. Glenville State College took the 250.7 to 215.385 final victory, but great strides were made.

Highlights:

  • Georgetown saw scores jump in every portion of the competition with the team score improving nearly 15 points
  • Pyramid, toss and tumbling scores were closest to the start value
  • The Tigers won two events in tumbling, posting  7.95 to 7.5 win in the triple pass and an 8.83 to 8.15 victory in the six element pass

Georgetown College returns to action 4 pm Feb. 25 hosting its first tri-meet with CUW and Adrian College.
