Georgetown College women's golf wrapped up its first spring meet with a strong day two. The Tigers moved up from eighth to seventh against a very stiff field. Three of the teams in the 10 competing are in the Top 15, two in the Top 5.

GC dropped four strokes Tuesday to finish the tournament with a 690, one stroke behind Tennessee Wesleyan University in sixth. Keiser University, ranked fourth nationally, won the event with No. 3 Dalton State University 21 strokes back in second. Campbellsville University, ranked 11th, finished fifth.

Baylee Salyers tied CU's Michaela Jarman, both shooting a 167 for the two-day tournament and finishing 24th.

Sydney Swingos and Mary Catherine Borders had a three-way tie with TWU's Megan Schauer, all with 170 and in 29th place.

Hailee Scheper's 183 was a tie for 43rd with Tennessee Wesleyan's Logan Cass. Kylie Jo Speicher rounded out the scorers for GC with a 193, tied for 49th.

Georgetown returns to the links March 20-21 in University of the Cumberlands match.
