Georgetown College men's golf started the spring season in Florida, playing in St. Augustine. The Tigers were middle of the pack Friday behind some strong competition. They improved two strokes as a team on day two, but found themselves dropping two spots to finish eighth out of 12.

Dalton State University, ranked third, won the tournament, while Savannah College of Art and Design – Savannah, receiving votes, finished fifth.

St. Andrews, Indiana Tech and Point University were some surprise teams in the top five, while GC beat fellow Mid-South Conference foe Campbellsville University by 23 strokes.

Patrick Oakley led the Tigers, finishing tied for eighth with a two-day score of 147. Drake Stepter finished in a six-way tie for 19th with a 152. Kaleb Lester was one stroke back with three other competitors to finish tied for 25th.

Connor Danis' 158 had him in a three-way tie for 40th. Connor Taylor rounded out the scorers with a 170 in a tie for 58th.

Georgetown is back on the links March 20-21 at University of the Cumberlands match.
