Men's Basketball - Sat, Feb. 25, 2017

Darion Burns made two baskets and Quan Poindexter one as Georgetown College men's basketball took one possession leads in the overtime session Saturday against Lindsey Wilson College. However, it was not enough as the Blue Raiders finished on an 11-1 run and pick up a four-point win. LWC's 88-84 win secures the team a fifth-place seed in the upcoming Mid-South Conference tournament.

Quarterfinal action begins Friday and the No. 6 Tigers finish tied for second with University of Pikeville. GC swept the Bears this season, giving them the nod at the two seed.

Troy Steward led the way in the first half, while Poindexter took over in the second. Poindexter finished with a team-high 19 and Steward had 17. Burns had 16. Chris Coffey added 13 and Trent Gilbert 12.

Men's bracket has yet to be announced to determine GC's opponent. Games are set for 2, 4, 6 and 8.
