Georgetown College softball swept the Mid-South Conference weekly honors as Sydney Goyette earned Player of the Week and Audrey Dodd Pitcher of the Week. For each student-athletes this is the first time being recognized this season and in their careers.

Goyette tore the cover off the ball with four homeruns in as many games, helping the Tigers (15-5) to a perfect week. She hit .667 for the week with a 1.800 slugging percentage. The senior from Middletown, Ind. recorded at least two hits a game and drove in 12 runs. Twice she tallied three hits, 3-for-3 with two home runs against Rochester College in an 8-0 win and 3-for-5 with a home run and a double in 17-6 win over Kentucky Christian University.

Dodd picked up two of the Tiger wins from the circle. She went the distance in an 8-1 win over Rochester, allowing one run on three hits and striking out five. She followed that up with four innings against KCU for a 6-0 win. The Paducah, Ky. native had six strikeouts and allowed just two hits and two walks.

The Tigers are on the road this week playing over the college's spring break. Monday's games with Columbia College (SC) were postponed due to rain and will be played 1 and 3 pm tomorrow.
