For the second week in a row, Georgetown College suffered a 35-27 Mid-South Conference loss, this week to No. 13 UVA-Wise at home.

The Tigers scored first with a 9-yard run by A.J. Brooks to begin a back and forth scoring volley that would last until the final minutes of the game.  UVA-Wise took their first lead of the game with 7:19 to go in the game when quarterback Randy Hippeard went in the endzone on a one-yard run.

Georgetown responded with a 20-yard touchdown pass from Mike Lewis to Ted Sberna on the next drive, but the Tigers couldn't hold Hippeard, who connected on a 56-yard pass to Aric Evans with 58 seconds left to play to give the Cavaliers the important conference win.

Hippeard was 23 of 31 in the passing game for a total of 310 yards and handed off 43 times for 160 yards rushing.  Lewis threw for 206 yards (13 of 23) and had one interception, on the last play of the game.  Brooks led both teams with a total of 116 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, Tiger senior Josh Wright led both teams with a total of 14 tackles, including eight unassisted.

UVA-Wise improved to 4-1 on the year and 2-0 in the MSC, while Georgetown  fell to 1-3
