Tennis - Tue, Apr. 25, 2017

Georgetown College men's and women's tennis wrapped up a great 2017 with the Mid-South Conference banquet honors. Two Tigers earned first-team all-conference, while four more were on second-team. GC also knocked it out in the classroom with nine of the 57 student-athletes honored.

Shae Henry and Ryo Takeda have played much of the top spot for the Tigers in singles and doubles all season and are no surprise as the first-team honorees. This is Henry's third straight year earning all-conference and Takeda's second.

Joining Henry on the women's side, Lauren Fazenbaker, Natalie Fiepke and Madelyn Kauffman were second team. It is Fiepke's second all-conference honor. Tristan Nosek was the other men's representative and is his second time being recognized.

For the second straight year Fiepke, Henry and Emily Novak earned academic all-conference while Katie Eden and Amanda Moore also were honored – having a 3.25 grade point average or higher as a sophomore or higher.

On the men's side it was AJ Berk and Nosek's second time to make academic all-conference. They were joined by Jaspreet Gill and Cole McCreary.
