Georgetown College volleyball opened its home schedule Wednesday evening by hosting No. 3 Lindsey Wilson College. The No. 18 Tigers (4-1, 0-1) did not back down from the challenge against its Mid-South Conference foe. However, the Blue Raiders (9-0, 1-0) took the match in straight sets, 25-16, 25-15, 25-23.

The home team saved its biggest moment for the third set. It went on a tear after Caroline Ricks kill tied it at seven and Jenny Howell toed the service line. GC opened up a four-point lead, 11-7, during the senior's rotation.

LWC rallied back, but the Tigers continued to forge ahead by four – 14-10 and 16-12. Georgetown's final lead came at 20-19 off a Sarah Snyder kill.

After the Blue Raiders grabbed a 21-20 advantage, the teams traded side outs until it was 23 all. The visitors pushed the final two points and left Davis-Reid Alumni Gym undefeated.

Sets one and two, the Tigers got behind but found ways to chip back. However, never got a real rhythm going until it was too late.

Ricks and Snyder finished with eight kills each, while Howell and Jessica Tapp had seven. Lexie Gatewood and Gracen Howard led the way with 10 digs each and Kassidy Rauh had 27 assists.
