LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of the Cumberlands' Luis Souza-Marcelo and Georgetown College's Steven Baumfalk are the Mid-South Conference Men's Soccer Players of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of the Cumberlands' Luis Souza-Marcelo and Georgetown College's Steven Baumfalk are the Mid-South Conference Men's Soccer Players of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

The weekly conference honors are the first of the season for both.

Souza-Marcelo, a senior midfielder from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, scored a goal and assisted on two others on the week to earn MSC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. Souza-Marcelo scored a goal in the Patriots 3-2 loss to William Carey and assisted on both Cumberlands' goals in a 2-0 win over Lee.

Baumfaulk, a junior goalkeeper from Elizabethtown, Ky., recorded six saves in a shutout win to earn MSC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Baumfaulk kept the Taylor offense scoreless in the Tigers' 3-0 win.

The Tigers are on the road Saturday at Marian University in Indianapolis, Ind.  Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
