Georgetown College Soccer Coach Leah Crews Castleman expects big things out of the newest member of the 2009 Tiger team, Alessandra Jansen.Georgetown College Soccer Coach Leah Crews Castleman expects big things out of the newest member of the 2009 Tiger team, Alessandra Jansen.
Jansen, a midfielder for St. Ursula Academy in Cincinnati, served as the starting center and major contributor in her school's back-to-back state championships in 2007 and 2008.
"I am very excited to add a player of Alessandra's
caliber to our roster," said Castleman. "I believe she will be a
huge contributor to our program and to our school."
As her club coach, Keri Thoman has had the opportunity to watch Jansen develop as a player and describes her as a "very technical" and "very smart player."
"She has the ability to work herself through tight spaces and find players' feet or find players in behind the last line of defense. She works extremely hard and is committed to getting better each day," said Thoman.
