Georgetown, Ky. - Georgetown College Softball Coach Thomas Thornton has completed the 2009-10 Tiger roster and will add a total of seven newcomers to his squad that finished last season with an overall record of 31-11-1, the Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship and an appearance in the NAIA National Tournament.

Georgetown, Ky. - Georgetown College Softball Coach Thomas Thornton has completed the 2009-10 Tiger roster and will add a total of seven newcomers to his squad that finished last season with an overall record of 31-11-1, the Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship and an appearance in the NAIA National Tournament.

The seven newest Tigers are all products of Kentucky and include Franklin County's Madelyn Brown, Miranda Buchanan (Western Hills), Shauna Gramig (Shelby County), Mallory Johnson (Scott County), Katie Mann (Louisville Assumption), Hillary Plain (Owensboro Apollo) and Tori Shover (Louisville Sacred Heart).

"This is an important class to our program because it gives us much-needed depth," said Thornton. "This is an exciting bunch of young ladies who all have extended experience in the game of softball. They will all bring a high-level of energy for the game and we look forward to welcoming them."

The seven will move in to their new homes on August 20 to prepare for the beginning of the semester on August 24.
