A record seven Tigers earn Mid-South Conference All-Academic honors Wednesday night at the banquet in Frankfort which kicks off the tournament.

Emily Drees, Erin Eagan, Jess Slonim, Mandi Boykin, Gina Beining, Jessica Waddle and Mikkah Rogers all maintain a 3.2 or higher grade point average. And seven is half of GC coach Susan Johnson's active roster.

"This is the most we've ever had," the veteran coach said. "We have had six twice. It speaks well of the players and why they come to school at Georgetown. I don't have to worry about too many of them."

Jackson County native Kourtney Tyra also picked up a few awards. She was name Freshman of the Year and also made the All-Conference team. Drees and Rogers were named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention team.
