Scott County Softball's Mallory Johnson has officially signed to play her collegiate career at Georgetown College.

Scott County Softball's Mallory Johnson has officially signed to play her collegiate career at Georgetown College.

Johnson joins all of her immediate family members on the campus, as her sister, Rachel, is a rising junior for the Tigers, father, Bryan, serves as assistant coach, and mother, Kathleen, works in the school's department of institutional advancement.

Mallory played second base for the Cardinals, who were just one game short of making it to the state tournament. Tigers Head Coach Thomas Thornton expects the young Johnson to contribute to the program.

"She has always been a solid player, especially defensively, and her bat has really blossomed this year and she has been one of the top hitters in the state," said Thornton.
