Tiger Softball's Samantha Barmore has been honored as the Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week. It is the first conference honors for the 2009 season.

Barmore hurled a pair of complete-game wins en route to earning MSC Softball Pitcher of the Week. She concluded the week with a 1.17 earned run average, allowing just two earned runs over 12 innings of work.

The Smithfield, Ky., native, did not allow a run in a 10-0 win over Lindsey Wilson College. She followed by scattering seven hits and allowing two earned runs in a 7-5 win over Campbellsville.

Georgetown went 4-1 on the week to improve to 8-3 on the season. Campbellsville's Alex Jane Clemmons was named the Player of the Week.

The Tigers travel to Bellarmine University this afternoon for a doubleheader. The first pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
