Georgetown College outfielder Kara Renfro has been named the Mid-South Conference Softball Player of the Week.  Renfro's honor ends a special week in Tiger Softball history, as the team received its first-ever national ranking on Wednesday, entering the weekly coaches' poll at No. 20.
Georgetown College outfielder Kara Renfro has been named the Mid-South Conference Softball Player of the Week.  Renfro's honor ends a special week in Tiger Softball history, as the team received its first-ever national ranking on Wednesday, entering the weekly coaches' poll at No. 20.
 
A senior from Paint Lick, Kentucky, Renfro batted .586 during a 7-1 week  Tigers. She finished the week with three homeruns and an impressive 21 RBI's and ten runs scored. Renfro was also a perfect 7 of 7 in stolen bases.

Defensively, she was just as outstanding, committing no errors in Georgetown's eight games on the week.
