Let there be light! On Monday, October 15, 2007 Head Coach Thomas Thornton was joined by current and former team members to watch as he turned on the lights for the first time at the Georgetown College Softball Field. It is a big reward for years of fundraising in order to afford the luxury of a lit field. The rewards are already paying off as the Tigers have been selected to host the Mid-South Conference Softball Tournament in April 2008.

"It was an amazing sight, quite moving actually," said former Tiger and current Assistant Coach Stephanie Carrico "When I came to school in 2002, I was promised they would be up before I left. We didn't quite make it for me to play under them but I'm definitely glad I got to witness the first time they were on last night."
