The softball coaches of the Mid-South Conference have selected Campbellsville University as their favorite to win the MSC Championship for the upcoming 2007 spring season. The Lady Tigers received 5 first-place votes for a total of 25 points. Campbellsville is the defending 2006 regular season and conference tournament champions.

The softball coaches of the Mid-South Conference have selected Campbellsville University as their favorite to win the MSC Championship for the upcoming 2007 spring season. The Lady Tigers received 5 first-place votes for a total of 25 points. Campbellsville is the defending 2006 regular season and conference tournament champions.

Georgetown College and The University of the Cumberlands tied for second place with 17 points each, while Lindsey Wilson College was one point behind in fourth place with 16. Pikeville College was voted # 5 and conference newcomer West Virginia Tech was # 6.

Member schools will begin play in mid-February with the 20-game conference schedule starting on March 16. The MSC Conference Tournament is scheduled for April 27-28 at Skyview Park & Jeffersontown High School in Jeffersontown, Kentucky. Georgetown will open the season at home on February 17 hosting Belleramine College in a double-header. Games are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

The following are the placing positions, total points and first-place votes. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

1. Campbellsville University -- 25 points -- (5 first-place votes)
2t. U. of the Cumberlands -- 17 points
2t. Georgetown College -- 17 points -- (1 first-place vote)
4. Lindsey Wilson College -- 16 points
5. Pikeville College -- 10 points
