Senior short stop Jennifer Tarplee was named the Mid-South Conference Player-of-the-Year at the annual softball banquet held Thursday evening. The Cincinnati native has led the league all season in stolen bases and stolen base attempts and currently ranks second in batting average with a .465 behind teammate Kara Renfro's .466.

The Cincinnati native has led the league all season in stolen bases and stolen base attempts and currently ranks second in batting average with a .465 behind teammate Kara Renfro's .466.

Other Tigers honored by the conference coaches included All-Conference First Team selections Renfro, Kim Radford and Samantha Barmore, while York Samons, Jessica Craddock, Pamela Hardesty and Brittany Gunter were named Honorable Mention. Five student-athletes were named Academic All-Conference, including Rachael Gott, Sarah Gronefeld, Renfro, Tarplee and Victoria Witt.
