Seniors Amy Barmore and Erica Janszen have been named 2009 Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball All Americans, as selected by the NAIA Volleyball All-America Selection Committee.

Seniors Amy Barmore and Erica Janszen have been named 2009 Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball All Americans, as selected by the NAIA Volleyball All-America Selection Committee.

Barmore, a libero from Louisville, was named as an honorable mention choice.  She broke the school's career aces record with an ace she recorded in the first set.  The libero ends here career with 270 perfect serves.  The Louisville native takes the lead over Erin Monnier whose record stood since her playing days in 1992-95.

Janszen, an outside hitter from Cincinnati, was a second team selection.  This is the third season in a row for her to earn the All-America designation.

The 2009 AVCA Region Honors have also been announced.  Both Barmore and Janszen were named All-Region players and freshman setter Amanda Philpot was named an honorable mention.

In his first season as head coach, Nick Griffin, was also honored by the AVCA, being named Region Coach of the Year.  Griffin led his squad to an overall record of 45-4 and the school's best showing ever in the NAIA National Championship as tournament runner-up.
