The No. 30 Tigers avenged an earlier 90-72 loss to the No. 13 Patriots in Williamsburg last month and improved to 15-9 on the year and 6-3 in the MSC.

Freshman Kourtney Tyra (Jackson, Ky.) fired in 21 points to lead all-scorers, 12 in the second half, and dished out six assists.

Georgetown erased a late three-point déficit in the first half with a 7-0 run to hold a 32-28 edge at the break. The Tigers then came out hungry, opening up a 12-point lead, 47-35, with 12:19 remaining. The Patriots trimmed the déficit to two, 49-47, before GC regrouped to outscore its opponent 16-12 for the win.

Mikkah Rogers (Corbin, Ky.), Emily Drees (Crescent Springs, Ky.) and Gina Beining (Ottoville, Ohio) also reached doublé-digits for GC with 10 each. Drees had a doublé-double with 14 rebounds to go with her points.

Lauren Martin paced the Patriots, who moved to 18-7 overall and 7-2 in the league, with 18 points.   Senior Sonia Thompson grabbed 11 rebounds.
