Senior All-American Erica Janszen was named the conference's Player of the Year. Janszen led all MSC schools in kills and kills per game, with 446 and 3.9, respectively.  She was honored as the MSC Hitter of the Week three times and Player of the Week twice and the NAIA National Player of the Week once.

Joining Janszen as All-Conference selections were freshman setter Amanda Philpot, senior libero Amy Barmore, senior outside hitter Allie Bertke and junior middle blocker Kyla Welch.

Head Coach Nick Griffin was named MSC Coach of the Year by his peers.   In his first season as head coach, Griffin has led his team to a perfect record in conference play and an overall record of 37-2.

Georgetown's Cathy Frank and University of the Cumberlands' Courtney Fout were named the MSC Volleyball Champions of Character recipients. The pair earned the award -- as voted on by the conference athletics director -- for their civic and servant leadership within the campus and community.

Academically, eight Tigers earned Academic All-Conference, including Bertke, Elizabeth Goodin, Kelsey Luckett, Kristen Meister, Cassie Moore, Welch and Whitney Wulf.

The Tigers face West Virginia Tech in the opening round of the MSC Conference Championship on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.  They would then advance to the semi-finals to be held on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. followed by the finals at 6:00.  All matches are being played at the Frankfort Convention Center.
