Sioux City, Ia. - After dropping the first game of their first match in the NAIA National Tournament, Georgetown College defeated the College of Idaho 3-1 Tuesday.

Sioux City, Ia. - After dropping the first game of their first match in the NAIA National Tournament, Georgetown College defeated the College of Idaho 3-1 Tuesday.

After coming out flat in the opening match with a 16-25 loss in game one, the Tigers held on to win the next three 25-21, 25-22, 25-22. Georgetown was led by junior outside hitter Erica Janszen with 14 kills and two aces, while senior Jesse Hoeh added 12 kills. Defensively, libero Amy Barmore tallied 15 digs and junior middle blocker Kristy Hock contributed two solo blocks and two block assists as the Tigers improved to 34-6 on the year.

Next up in the pool play format is Indiana Tech on Wednesday at noon followed by a matchup with Indiana Tech on Thursday at noon.
