BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The 11th-ranked (NAIA) Georgetown College volleyball team went 4-0 this weekend to win the Loco's Invitational, hosted by Birmingham-Southern, Friday and Saturday in Bill Battle Coliseum.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The 11th-ranked (NAIA) Georgetown College volleyball team went 4-0 this weekend to win the Loco's Invitational, hosted by Birmingham-Southern, Friday and Saturday in Bill Battle Coliseum.

In the final match of the two-day tournament, Georgetown played host Birmingham Southern and won, 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-21). Erica Janzsen led the Tigers with 11 kills and 17 digs, and Jenna Gronotte recorded a double-double with a match-high 38 assists as well as 12 digs. Jessica Hoeh also posted a match-high 17 digs, while Elizabeth Goodin and Amy Barmore tallied 13 and 12 digs, respectively.

On the Panthers' side of the net, Anderson led with nine kills, Stojanovic posted a double-double with 32 assists and 11 digs, and McKannan led with 24 digs. Harris also posted 17 digs, and junior Alex Norten recorded 11.

In other action today, West Florida defeated Rhodes College, 3-0 (25-18, 25-11, 25-10), Georgetown College defeated Washington University, 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-17), and Washington University defeated Rhodes College, 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-17).

Georgetown's Hoeh and Barmore were named to the All-Tournament Team, as were Wilhoite, Anderson, Nikki Morrison of Washington, and Allison Squires of Rhodes.
