Georgetown College Volleyball Team posted one win and one loss on Friday by defeating Culver-Stockton College before losing to William Woods their first two matches of the Best Western/KMIZ Classic hosted by Columbia College.

Georgetown College Volleyball Team posted one win and one loss on Friday by defeating Culver-Stockton College before losing to William Woods their first two matches of the Best Western/KMIZ Classic hosted by Columbia College.

The Tigers beat Culver-Stockton in three games 30-19, 30-16 and 30-23 in their first match on Friday afternoon and tallied 19 aces in the match. Georgetown was led by senior Amy Schiller with 12 kills and freshman Erica Janszen and sophomore Jessica Hoeh added ten each.

In the second match of the afternoon, Georgetown defeated William Woods College, also in three games, with scores of 31-29, 30-24, 30-18 and were led in kills by AllieBertke with 14. Hoeh again was a big contributed with 11 kills, 31 digs and two aces and blocks. Setter Jenna Gronotte had 51 assists in the win.
