Katie Schnoes of Northwestern College (IA), Jenna Gronotte of Georgetown College (KY), and Rachel Vanderburg of Cumberland University (TN) were named the NAIA Volleyball Player, Setter and Libero of the Week, respectively for the week ending September 3, 2006.

Katie Schnoes of Northwestern College (IA), Jenna Gronotte of Georgetown College (KY), and Rachel Vanderburg of Cumberland University (TN) were named the NAIA Volleyball Player, Setter and Libero of the Week, respectively for the week ending September 3, 2006.

Schnoes, a native of Sheffield, Iowa, averaged 5.25 kills/game as she helped lead the Red Raiders to a 5-0 record llast week. The senior middle hitter hit .443 on the week (84 kills) and added 11 ace serves and 11 total blocks.

Gronotte, a sophomore setter from Walton, Ky, averaged 13.85 assists per game as the Lady Tigers went 3-1 during the week, with their only loss coming to #6 Missouri Baptist. Jenna also had 9 aces, 34 digs, and 180 assists on the week.

Vanderburg, a junior from Franklin, Tenn., averaged 10.77 digs per game as Cumberland went 3-1 during the week. The Lady Bulldogs posted wins over Mountain State University (W. Va.), Bryan College (Tenn.), and Covenant College (Ga.), with their only loss coming against Lambuth University (Tenn.).

In addition, Gronotte was honored as the Setter of the Week for the Mid-South Conference and Region XI and teammate Amy Barmore was named the Mid-South Conference Libero of the Week.
