Women's Soccer - Sun, Sep. 19, 2010
Kelsey Ach and the Georgetown College women's soccer team wasted little time in taking a lead against new Mid-South Conference opponent Shawnee State.
The Tigers (5-1, 1-0 MSC) needed just 34 seconds as freshman Ach drove through the Bears (2-1, -1) defense and netted a passing shot. It was not until the second half that GC would find the back of the net again, but it would roll 4-0 Saturday at home.
Chelsea Farley netted two goals in the second half off assists from Alessandra Jensen and Alex Harbowy. Taylor Feist tallied the final Tiger goal.
GC dominated all day, quadrupling Shawnee's shots on goal 16 to four. Two of the Bears best opportunities clanged off the crossbar late in the second half.
Georgetown returns to action Wednesday as it hosts Union College. Kick-off is set for 6 p.m.
