Cross Country - Sun, Sep. 19, 2010
Georgetown College men's cross country finished one point behind host Berea Saturday in the John Perry Invitational. The Tigers had all five scoring runners finish in the top 20 for 55 points to the Mountaineers 54.

The women's team had a big weekend as well with a third place finish out of 11 teams.

Scott Ritter led the way, crossing the line in third with a time of 27 minutes and 42 seconds. The next two Tigers came in on each other's heels - Tyler Doolittle finished in 28:37 for 10th and Brandon Pulliam was 11th in 28:44. Tanner Alexander, 17th in 29:06, and Corey Hatfield, 18th in 29:10, did the same thing as GC finished 15 points in front of third place finishing Campbellsville University.

The women also did well Saturday in Berea. Elisha Overpeck continued to run well. The freshman, in just her third collegiate race, finished third - she has won the other two meets she has run in thus far. She crossed the line in 19:35.

The next four scoring runners for GC finished in the top 35 with Finnja Ramcke at 16th in 22:14, Maggie Wilson at 27th in 22:47, Jordan Emmert in 30th with 23:02, and Kristen Snyder in 35th in 23:31.

Both teams return to action on Oct. 2 in Louisville for the Greater Louisville Classic.
