After a tough week of back-to-back losses by one goal, Georgetown College women's soccer team is back on track with a win Tuesday over Trevecca Nazarene.

The Tigers (6-3, 1-1 Mid-South Conference) traveled to Nashville and netted a 2-0 win.

"We are a young group and a had a rough week this past week with a pair of close losses," GC coach Leah Crews Castleman said. "But, tonight we played like I know we can. It was good to see us find the back of the net and have our second shutout of the year."

Cathie Shaver was in goal for the Tigers. She had two saves on the night and faced 11 shots. Liz Yoder found the back of the net in the 17th minute off an assist from Kelsey Ach.

As time was winding down, just five minutes and nine seconds remaining, freshman Taylor Feist added a goal for more breathing room. Yoder had the assist.

GC returns home Saturday for a 4 p.m. game against Mount Vernon Nazarene.
