Women's Soccer - Sat, Oct. 16, 2010
Georgetown College women's soccer team ended the week on a positive note. The Tigers (8-6, 3-2 Mid-South Conference) had a tough week with a 3-0 loss to No. 5 Lindsey Wilson and a 2-0 loss to Milligan College. However, on Homecoming, Georgetown scored early and often in a 4-0 win over Mid-South Conference opponent Rio Grande (4-8, 1-4).
Seniors Chelsea Farley and Katie DeVeau led the way. Farley had two goals and DeVeau one. Christina Thompson also came through with a goal for the final margin of victory.
GC has just three games left in regular season. Tuesday the team goes to Campbellsville and return home Friday to face Pikeville. Kickoff for the home match is set for 4 p.m.
