Women's Soccer - Fri, Oct. 22, 2010
Georgetown College women's soccer celebrated senior night with a 2-0 win over Mid-South Conference opponent Pikeville College.
Liz Yoder got things off to a quick start with a goal just shy of 15 minutes into the game. The junior defender ripped an arching shot from about 30 yards out that found the upper left corner of the goal. Freshman Kaitlyn Osborne added the final goal early in the second half.

Osborn took a pass from Alessandra Jansen and bent a shot from the 18-yard line around the Bears goalie for the final margin of victory.

The Tigers (10-6, 5-2 MSC) honored four seniors - Katie DeVeau, Jessica Dixon, Chelsea Farley and Sam Owens - in a postgame ceremony. The four have helped GC to a 39-32-3 record thus far. They also helped the team reach the finals of the conference tournament a season ago and take perennial power Lindsey Wilson to a shoot out in the finals.

Georgetown returns to action in its final regular season game Wednesday hosting West Virginia Tech at 5 p.m.
