Cross Country - Sat, Oct. 23, 2010
Georgetown College men's and women's cross country team traveled to Berry College's Southeast Classic and had a banner day. The men had six runners finish under 28 minutes, while the women had Elisha Overpeck and Finnja Ramcke run personal records.

The Tiger men finished 13th out of 28 teams and were the second Mid-South Conference team across the line. Scott Ritter led the way with 26:59 in 68th place out of 238 runners. Alexander Tanner ran a 27:10. Tyler Doolittle and Brandon Pulliam were on each other's heels at 27:34 and 27:35 respectively. Corey Hatfield's 27:40 rounded out the scoring racers for Georgetown, while Michael Bailey's 27:47 rounded out the runners under 28 minutes in the 8k race.

Joe Cox finished just above 28 minutes at 28:11.

The Tiger women finished 18th out of 27 teams and were the third MSC team to finish. Overpeck finished 14th in a time of 18:53, breaking the 19-minute barrier she has been flirting with for the past several races at 19:04.

Ramcke was next in 20:56, a new personal record, and Jordan Emmert crossed in 21:35. Maggie Wilson finished in 22:40 and Adrienne Bartlett rounded out the scoring runners in 22:55.

Mary Kate Dowdy crossed in 23:06 and Miranda Schmidt's 25:30 rounded out the top seven Tiger runners.
