Georgetown College's volleyball team battled University of the Cumberlands Monday night and needed four games to pick up its fourth straight win.
The Tigers (19-8, 10-1 Mid-South Conference) struggled in the middle of the match as the Patriots found a rhythm. UC took game two 25-21 and led game three 13-9 before GC began to start clicking offensively again. Georgetown erased the deficit and took game three, 29-27. That momentum swing carried them in game four and an eventual victory, 25-14, 21-25, 29-27, 25-11.
Senior Kyla Welch had 13 kills, while Kelsey Luckett added 10. Liz Goodin had 42 assists on the night, while Lauren Meister led with 18 digs.
The Tigers return to action 5 p.m. Tuesday evening for a doubleheader with St. Catharine on Senior Night.
