Georgetown College's volleyball team bounced back with a straight-game win over Walsh University Friday in the nightcap of the Boneyard Brawl's opening day.
The Tigers (22-10, 12-1 Mid-South Conference) opened with a 25-13 win and rolled with a 25-22 and 25-12 win. Energy was high and Walsh struggled to find ways to get the ball down against Georgetown's tough defense.
"One of the keys to our success is our ability to communicate on the court and trust each other," Tiger coach Nick Griffin said. "You saw that in its finest form against Walsh."
GC returns to action 1 p.m. Saturday vs. No. 10 Taylor and then finishes the classic with a 5 p.m. match with Freed-Hardeman.
