Men's Basketball - Wed, Nov. 3, 2010
Georgetown College men's basketball team played its lone exhibition game of the season against NCAA Division I University of Florida.
The Tigers scrapped in the second half, limiting turnovers and finding an offensive rhythm, but it was too little too late for GC in an 88-62 loss in Gainsville. Vic Moses led the charge with 15 points, while Vincent Crutcher added 12 and Eddie Gray had eight points and four assists.
It was a rough first half that put the Tigers under the gun against the No. 9 Gators. The team had 17 turnovers and only 19 points in the first 20 minutes. UF held a 41-19 edge at the break.
GC made several runs, but could never get closer than 19 points.
The Tigers open regular season action 3 p.m. Sunday at Davis-Reid Alumni Gym against Davis & Elkins.
