Georgetown College battled undefeated and NAIA No. 5 all night and came out on top 71-53. The Tigers (5-0) advance to the finals of the 17th Annual McDonald's-Central Bank Jim Reid Classic to face 4 p.m. Texas College, a 69-60 winner over Life University.
This is the 16th time in the finals for the Tigers, and won the tournament 15 straight times. The only loss was in the first round this past year to Life University.
Lexington native and former Henry Clay standout Vic Moses led all-scorers with 18 points. Georgetown native and Scott County standout Rodney Haddix contributed a double-double, 10 points and 12 rebounds. Eddie Gray finished with 11 points, three rebounds and three assists.
