Georgetown College men's basketball team shot 70 percent from the three-point line as it picked up its 11th straight victory.
Brescia College (4-6) came to Georgetown for the second meeting between these two teams this season and lost 117-71. GC (11-0, 2-0 Mid-South Conference) opened a 61-31 first half lead and never looked back.
Scott County native Rodney Haddix paced six Tigers in double figures with 24 points, including four three-pointers. Tyrone Shelley had 16 points, Dillon Boggs 15, Vincent Crutcher 14, Aaron Morris 12 and Maurice Pearson 10. GC was 14-of-20 from deep and 44-of-63 from the field as it eclipsed 100-points for the third time this season.
Morris had a double-double with 12 rebounds to go with as many points.
Aaron Tandy paced Brescia with 19 points, while DeCarlos McClendon had 11 points and Trace Ewing had 10.
The Tigers, which moved up from preseason No. 9 to No. 2 Monday afternoon in the first NAIA Coaches Poll of the regular season, are back in action 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when Spalding comes to town.
