Kourtney Tyra once again led Georgetown College against a ranked opponent, scoring 18 points in a 94-86 loss to No. 21 Westmont College (10-2) in the final game of the GSAC Challenge in Santa Barbara, CA.

The sophomore scored a traditional three with 43 seconds remaining to cut the Warriors deficit to five, but the Tigers (6-8, 2-2 Mid-South Conference) could never get any closer.

Similar to GC's first game on the West Coast, it led 20-17 in the early going. However, a 15-0 run changed the momentum and gave Westmont the lead for good.

The Warriors advantage would swell to as many as 17 in the second half, but a 12-2 run helped to mount a final attack by Georgetown in the final four minutes.

Tyra was one of four players in double-digits for the Tigers. Juniors Gina Beining had 17, while Jessica Waddle added 15 and Mikkah Rogers had 10.

Georgetown stays on the road to play another ranked opponent in No. 5 Saint Xavier on Jan. 3.
