Women's Tennis - Mon, Jan. 24, 2011
Georgetown College women's tennis team finished up the 2010 season ranked 22nd, and with most everyone back things are still looking good for the Tigers.
Individually, GC's Adrienne Bartlett is ranked No. 47 in the NAIA women's national rankings. The senior from Louisville is a three-time Mid-South Conference First-Team singles and First-Team doubles player. She has also been an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention.
Her ranking has climbed as high as No. 31 in singles and No. 11 in doubles by the ITA since coming to Georgetown College.
Also in her previous three seasons, she has been a semifinalist in both singles and doubles at the ITA Southeast Regional.
Bartlett is joined on the regional rankings list by teammate Haley Hart. The sophomore is listed as the No. 18 player in the East Region.
She and Emily Krick were tabbed as the 8th best doubles team in the region, while Georgetown's Natalie Hill and Jackie Cobb made the doubles list at No. 12.
All of this has first-year coach Lane Orttenburger excited about the season, which begins Feb. 4 at Eastern Kentucky University.
