Georgetown College started out flat against No. 3 Campbellsville University and never recovered Saturday at the Davis-Reid Alumni Gym. Down 20 at half, the Tigers (7-15, 3-8 Mid-South Conference) lost 81-63 to the CU Tigers (16-3, 9-1).

GC came out stronger in the second half, but could not recover from a 23.3 shooting percentage in the first 20 minutes. Whitney Ballinger flexed her muscles with a double-double in the first half, 18 points and 10 rebounds. She finished with 27 points and 10 boards.

CU was coming off a 20-point set back at Shawnee State Thursday and shot 42 percent from the field with three people in double figures.

It was another balanced offensive attack for Georgetown, but no one broke into double digits. Kourtney Tyra led with nine points and all 12 players that saw action scored at least two points.

Georgetown returns to action for a road sweep next week - Thursday at Pikeville and Saturday at University of Virginia College at Wise. Thursday's game will tip at 6 p.m.
