Georgetown College women's and men's basketball teams are heading to Pikeville tonight for big Mid-South Conference games.

There is a slight adjustment to the women's tip time. Instead of the normal 6 p.m. start, things will get underway at 5:45. This is to accommodate the men's game, which is being televised.

WYTM out of Hazard is broadcasting the game, and sister station WKYT will be picking up the feed for the central Kentucky area on a delayed-broadcast. The game will air on the CW for the WKYT market, starting at 10 p.m.

On the women's side, the Tigers are two games back of the Bears and looking for their first road win. GC beat PC back before the Christmas break, 94-73.

Georgetown ended an eight-game skid this past Thursday in a win over St. Catharine, but two wins this week would help the Tigers move up in the conference standings. The team is currently tied with SCC for seventh at 3-8 in the MSC.

The men are three games ahead of Pikeville in the conference, but GC lost 76-65 down there this past year. The Tigers hold an all-time series record of 88-32 against the Bears.

Pikeville is attempting to set an attendance record for these games. In doing so, the school has connected with several sponsors to giveaway a Ford Mustang, four 40-inch LCD flat screen televisions and a halfcourt shot worth $25,000.
